Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio - Senior Approved

OH: For more than 100 years, the Visiting Nurse Association has been at the
heart of quality home healthcare. The Visiting Nurse Association provides
comprehensive services to a vast array of patients. From pre-natal assistance to
hospice and palliative care. From the human touch of a therapist to the personal
one-on-one service of a home visit by a physician.
In keeping with their mission to deliver quality service, the VNA recently
contracted with Senior Approved Services, an independent company that performs a
confidential consumer-driven survey process. Senior Approved Services surveyed
clients that are currently receiving services from each division within the Ohio
VNA.
The VNA has successfully received the Senior Approved Certification, a
distinction not all home care services have been successful in obtaining. The
VNA far surpassed the basic requirement of a 90% approval rating.
"The survey is voluntary and business providers pay for this survey, which
should tell you how very dedicated these elder care services are to providing
the very best service possible for our senior citizens," offers founder and
president of Senior Approved Services, Barbara Mascio.
Clients and their family members completing the survey offered unsolicited
comments that confirm how well the VNA serves their clients. One family wrote,
"I have been overwhelmed by the service, I know they have a lot people to care
for, they treat me like I was their only one." Another commented on the team of
VNA Hospice, "They have been a life-line, not just for dad, but for each of us
in the family."
An elderly couple, current clients of the VNA House Calls Division (featuring
home visits by a physician), wrote, "We love this service, we can't park the car
and walk a mile to an office like we used to, thank god these folks are here."
"Our goal is to help seniors connect with safe reliable companies that we can
verify a history of quality care. We cannot hope to accomplish this lofty goal
without services such as The Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio," states Barbara
Mascio. " We are quite pleased to include this service within our exclusive
